Jill Comrie

Jillian's passion is to serve at-risk children and youth, using music as a way for them to experience and know God. Her hope is to form long-term relationships that will help these children to develop a deep knowledge of and fellowship with Christ. One of Jillian's primary places of ministry is Pan de Vida, a ministry that provides meals, clothing, Bible study, work training, medical support and children's programs to families living in poverty. She has maintained positive relationships with children and families at Pan de Vida since 2009. She teaches Sunday School for 60-70 children twice each month, leads worship and serves at monthly children's clubs, leads a children's choir, gives music classes and helps lead a young women's Bible study. Jillian's choir ministry, the Coro Gens Nova, is steadily growing and taking form as she explores Latin American music arrangements and creative performance strategies.

She is currently working with a dance and theatre ministry that will help her choir tell stories with their music, incorporating all of the performing arts. Jillian's dream for the year 2014 is to take her choir on a mission trip to share the gospel through their music and to give the young adults in her choir an opportunity to grow in their faith. Jillian also teaches music part-time at a local British school, so most of her financial donations will go toward funding her choir's mission trip and other ministry projects.
